Delta State Governor Okowa’s Daughter Test Positive for COVID-19
The daughter of the Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The governor confirmed this in a tweet “Earlier today, Edith and I received the news that one of our daughters has tested positive for #COVID19. Hence, in-line with the laid out procedures, we are both going into isolation for the next 14-days. We will continue to keep you all updated.”
In a related development is was said that 13 members of the Imo State House of Assembly has also tested positive to the virus.
Attempts to reach the Imo State commissioner for health for confirmation failed as he is not reachable on his phone.
With the increase in cases many analysts have requested for a review of the lockdown and additional measures that can be put in place to stop the spread of this virus.
